Simultaneous bombings across Indian state of Assam

A series of bombings killed at least 67 people and injured more than 300 in India. There were 13 bombings, timed within minutes of one another in a highly coordinated series of attacks.

The Indian state of Assam has been troubled for years by ethnic tension and violence. Dozens of separatist groups have been fighting the government and each other in the region.

Martin Savidge talks with Asia Society fellow Sadanand Dhume to learn who might be behind the bombings and how they relate to the recent surge of violence in the region.
