Pakistan arms tribesmen to fight Taliban

On Thursday, Pakistan announced plans to arm tens of thousands of anti-Taliban tribesmen in an effort to combat extremists.

Karen DeYoung, a senior diplomatic correspondent at The Washington Post, speaks with Martin Savidge about the need for the new plan and the alliances of tribal leaders. She discusses the role of the U.S. in Pakistan and U.S. support of the plan.
