The killings took place as the rebels fled from a multinational military offensive against them.

Congolese President Joseph Kabila made an announcement promising to remove armed groups from the country.

Joseph Donnelly of Caritas Internationalis, the Catholic aid group that reported the massacre, joins Martin Savidge to discuss the latest violence and Congo’s future.
