Turkish government arrests alleged coup conspirators

On Monday, the Turkish government arrested 51 high ranking military officers, including the head of the Navy and the former head of the Air Force.

The officers were allegedly part of a plot to overthrow the government over fears that it is drifting towards Islamism.

Martin Savidge spoke with Dr. Ömer Taşpınar, the director of the Turkey Project at the Brookings Institution.
