Today, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said there were global implications of al-Qaeda’s efforts to use Yemen as a base for terrorist attacks far beyond the Middle East.
This latest warning came as Yemeni officials said security forces killed two al-Qaeda fighters in a gun battle.
And ten days after the attempted bombing of a U.S. jetliner by a suspect who received his training and explosives in Yemen, passengers from Yemen and 13 other countries now face additional aiport security screening.
