Thank you for this excellent and informative piece of journalism! An in-depth look at the global tobacco pandemic is rare in journalism. The WHO estimates that tobacco will kill a billion people this century, mostly in the developing world. The full force of Western/American business and advertising acumen has been directed against these nations to sell tobacco to people (mostly children and women)who remain unaware of the dangers of tobacco. I hope that you continue to report on this important global health issue. (Like Indonesia, the United States has still not ratified the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control).
