How Christian to rape an Iraqi girl then burn her body and kill her entire family and yet be applauded as a “hero” in the US with a token dog and pony show to make the world think that American war crimes are being addressed. Between Iraq and Afghanistan the US has massacred more than a million civilians. To me they are no better than the Taliban. At least the Taliban are honest and unapologetic about their convictions. I am not surprised at all. Pakistan has turned into a terrorist country. I dont mean that every Pakistani is a terrorist. But they are so full of hate towards United States, Europe, India, Israel that their ultimate aim is to kill. Just look at their news papers, watch their television shows, its such a brain wash. Just listen to their shows, they still claim that 9/11 has been done by United states itself with the help of Isreal, Mumbai massacre has been done by India itself, and they claim this all was done to defame Pakistan.Even their polls in newspapers and televisions show that majority of people in Pakistan think that there is some international plot/conspiracy against pakistan played out by United States, Israel, Europe and India. How can we expect that society to change overnight? We have to be very careful against this extremist society. I am not saying this out of a whim or some kinda prejudice against pakistan, im just lucky enough to understand their language. We have to be very very careful now. Britain already saw bombings and that sorta stuff at the hands of people of Pakistani origin. Its obvious to see what kinda society pakistan is, that they are so full of hate that not only people living in Pakistan are full of hate towards us but they are passing this on to their next generations, even far beyond the international boundries. There can be many excuses, such as poverty, religion, so called injustices(since each party in every war claims they’ve been wronged), but these are just excuses. There are billions and billions of poor people on the face of earth, nobody is killing innocents like this. How many Jews were killed by Germans, no Jew went ahead blowing themselves up in Germany. Pakistani terrorists have been coming and killing Indians on the streets for decades, why not Indians go and do the same in Pakistan? Well, the answer lies in how the societies guide their generations; as respect rights of every citizen, fulfill your duties towards the society and guide future generations to be better people for the sake of whole human race.Peace.

I’m not a Muslim. I compliment you for interviewing the Muslim lady. It shows there are rational Muslims. I have a friend who is one. He is a Palestinian. A very sweet person. I know Jews,born agains and Buddhists. It is not what you believe that counts with me but what you do. It baffles me as to what they expect they will have if Islam wins. No one has defined that and I wonder if they would be demonstrating as the Iranian students are now just as they did against the Shaw more than 30 years ago. It is nice that they were picked up in Packistan and now will have to stand trial there and serve time in jail there. It will make them think twice about fighting against a nation with running water and bathrooms and heat.

The good doctor made two very important points. One I agree with, the other I do not.

The point I agree with: I am SO glad the emphasized that these terrorists are NOT defending Islam, they are killing their fellow Muslims.

Of course, they will rationalizes this away, with absurd and tragic excuses such as “if they don’t support Al Qaida, then they are not real Muslims”. I hope the good doctor has made these excuses sound even weaker for many throughout the world.

Now for the point I cannot agree with: it is simply not possible for Islam to do with their Scriptures, what Christians and Jews did with our passages condoning or even calling for violence.

I know this conclusion is displeasing to many, but I must stand firm: the entire framework for ‘reinterpreting’ the Koran like that simply does not exist in the Islamic world. It did (and does) in the Christian and Jewish worlds.

I have long suspected that a large part of the reason for this is what I call “Monophysite inflexibility”: Mohammad was dabbling with Monophysite Christianity before he defected and decided to create his own religion instead. But especially around Mohammed’s time, the Monophysites were extremely single-minded and inflexible in all their interpretation, just like the Pharisees as depicted in the Gospels.

So the result is that every ‘reformist’ movement to reinterpret the violent passages in the Koran will run into the sand as it flounders against this inflexibility of interpretation: those who espouse it will always be too vulnerable to the accusation of not being “true Muslims”.

The full report has not appeared yet. The public needs more detail. In general, I would say that the Islamic militants have developed sophisticated recruiting techniques aimed at disaffected youth. Immigrants from places like Afghanistan and Somalia have a hard time adjusting to American life. I would like to see established families doing as much as they can to help them. The recruiters here and abroad are the real enemy, not the peasants in Afghanistan. They are like drug pushers and have to be dealt with effectively. I am glad to see that the government is keeping an eye on them.

These children are being led by their parents and the imams in the mosques where they worship Allah. It is amazing to me that all they could see was that American soldiers were killing their muslims brothers and they do not see that the Taliban are killing muslims daily. Innocent women and children at the market buying food or at school sitting at a desk. All muslim who protest sending troops to afghanistan only see the killings done by the soldiers you never hear them once protest against the taliban or want to do anything to stop the taliban. Guess their culture is a bit different than mine.

Time and again young men with insufficient life experience seek certitude in ambiguous religious texts tutored by hateful manipulative men seeking more control than they’re entitled to in this lifetime. So these young men, mere children in the way of understanding, take their new intolerance and certitude in search of a means of violent expression. Deadly certitude and the exclusion/vilification of outsiders is the way of most religions. This is sad, inevitable and timeless.

I am not surprised by these 5 Americans who have taken it upon themselves to fight for the wrong side in this battle. Radical Americans have been around for quite awhile. My family background is ethnically German, on both sides, but during WWII, I had family members flying in missions against Germany. So, whatever these fellows’ allegiances are, they certainly appear very misplaced.
