Obama administration officials have announced that the president has finished gathering information about the situation in Afghanistan and will likely address the nation on Dec. 1 about the strategy, which reportedly includes planned troop increases.
White House sources state that the goal is to weaken the Taliban insurgency and demolish the al-Qaeda infrastructure.
