Protests erupt on 30th anniversary of U.S. embassy seizure

Thirty years after the U.S. embassy in Tehran was seized by Islamic radicals, the Iranian government has organized state-sanctioned commemorative events.

On the sidelines, anti-government protesters have clashed with security forces, resulting in widespread chaos throughout the Iranian capital city.

Geneive Abdo, who runs the insideIRAN project for The Century Foundation, discusses the day’s events in Tehran with Daljit Dhaliwal.

Al Jazeera English reports on the protests from Tehran.

Why does worldfocus continue to block all comments about Iran wantenly dragging the whole world into all out war over Israel, once it has the bomb?

The world needs to stop dickering on Palistine & Just declare a Palistinian State that is fair to the Palistinians and declare all Isreali settlements on the Palistinian side of the boarders, property of the new State of Palistine… In the same way Palistinian land was declared Israeli by the United Nations in 1946. ┬áThese proposed boarders are already known and part of the current peace negotiations. This would remove an excuse for Iran to continue meddling in Palistine, fanning the flames of hatred.

To NYA:

Remember the iranian mulahs provide arms to hamas/Gaza and hizbullah/Lebanon, and seem to be OK with you. Hamas and Hizbullah do the same to the Palestinians.

Voila and au revoir

The mullahs are turning Iran back to the 12th century – the period of inquisition. The corrupt regime and illegal has totally no shame or qualms about beating, torturing and even killing people whose only crime is to democratically oppose the theocracy.

“THE CIA,SAVAK AND MOSSAD ARE DILIGENTLY TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN”

Can you actually prove it? Totalitarian regimes always blame external forces for internal problems. It’s the oldest trick in the book.

Surprised Jimmy Carter did not go to the anniversary celebration, since he has become a new born islamofascist, he just loves Hamas , he just loves hisbollah godsons of Iranian mullhas.

Looks like you are only going to post comments you like, since our earlier comment comment attemps have not been posted. Only one comment has been allowed and
it is one supporting the Tyranny in Iran. What does that say about you.
