The information that led into the story said that the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize as given first in Swedish. It was given in Norwegian The only Swedish was when Mr. Jagland said “God Morgen” and then the rest of the speech prior to the English version was in Norwegian. While close in origin, Norwegian and Swedish are two distinct languages!
