Iranians scour Internet for entertainment, evading censors

The Worldfocus signature story “Iranian authorities can’t stop flood of Western culture” explored the clash of Persian and Western cultures in Iran.

In this extended interview — recorded in May, prior to the crackdown following the disputed election — Iranian students discuss how they bypass filters to find music and films, both online and in shops on the streets. They also share their ambivalence about the prevalence of Western popular culture in Iran.
