In 1967, 1972 and 1982 wars Arab countries received huge supply of newest Soviet arms. Soviets provided not only military instructors; they send pilots, army engineers, radar operators and more. All of them fought secretly on Arab side. Believe me or not, but its truth.
About investment, I can say that during the Cold war the West needed Israel, but now we are much more independed. For me it’s better for Israel, than follow big brother command. History is so unpredictable, in last report from Afghanistan, man sad:”Russians did not do that to us”.
