U.N. plans to vaccinate 20m African children in one month

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has an ambitious plan over the next month to immunize 20 million children in Africa against polio, an incurable disease which spreads quickly in unsanitary areas.

Ambassador Morten Weltand, the permanent representative of Norway to the United Nations, joins Martin Savidge to discuss the feasibility of the program, other global immunization programs and progress toward reducing the world’s infant mortality.
