Iran seeks to benefit from Gaza war

As Israel pushed forward with its offensive in Gaza, militants fired rockets into northern Israel from Lebanon, raising worries of a widening war. Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which supports Hamas, denied it was involved in the rocket fire.

Hezbollah’s ally Iran is also a strong supporter of Hamas and has been very critical of Israel’s offensive in Gaza.

Hillel Fradkin, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute in Washington, joins Martin Savidge to discuss where the blame lies for the rocket fire and Iran’s involvement in the Gaza conflict.

I was very disappointed to see tonight’s coverage on the attacks on Gaza. The Israeli government representative continuously referred to Hamas as “the terrorists” as if any attempts to protect the people that elected them are acts of terrorism.

I was previously very encouraged to see the emergence of World Focus on PBS, but I’m afraid that this program is just another outlet for the U.S. hegemonic worldview. Please provide more voices of people that are most impacted by this crisis -not Israeli government PR heads and conservative think tanks who have ulterior motives.
