World leaders are set to meet next Thursday to discuss strategies to end Iran’s nuclear program.
But some have argued that the only peacful way to curb Iran’s nuclear ambition is to cut off gasoline imports to the country. Iran imports about 40 percent of its consumed gas, largely from European and Indian companies.
Orde Kittrie, a law professor at Arizona State University and a fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, argues that President-elect Barack Obama should persuade these companies — which are supported by U.S. dollars — to cut off imports to Iran and “put the squeeze” on the country’s nuclear program.

As i understand it China is rebuiding an old USA built plant to refine gasoline, that was close down years ago due to lack of parts. And europe gets much crude oil from Iran, Plus you cannot expect Europe oil companys to for go profits for US interest. and its reasonable to believe an american oil company would ship gas, in the rear door if the price is right.
