Obama faces economic and strategic challenges in Asia

U.S. policy in Asia will face unique challenges and opportunities as Barack Obama assumes the office of president. Many Asian nations are dealing with the ramifications of the global financial crisis. Other countries like North Korea have a problematic relationship with America.

Jamie Metzl, the executive vice president of the Asia Society, speaks with Martin Savidge about China’s position on the global stage, Japan’s role in the financial crisis and what form the Obama administration’s relationship with North Korea may take.
